Therapeutic Yoga and Relaxation for the Birth to Three Population
Hosted by HASC, This hands-on workshop will provide an overview of the benefits of movement and touch for the young child with special needs. Yoga helps children develop motor skills, improve sleep, digestion and circulation. In addition, Yoga teaches young children how to calm, release tension and will improve parent child bond. An emphasis will be given to the therapeutic benefits of Yoga methods and techniques for the birth – three population. Pediatric massage/touch relaxation enhances the caregiver and child relationship; increases parental confidence; deepens respiration; improves circulation and elimination; and promotes self regulation. This course will discuss neurological and behavioral conditions and provide appropriate modifications.
