The Michigan Alliance of School Physical and Occupational Therapists (MASPOT) is hosting sensory processing specialist Diana Henry at their 2008 MASPOT Conference. On October 16th, Ms. Henry will present “Tools for Tots,” on October 17th “Tools for Teens” and on October 18th “Sensory Processing Measure.” MASPOT invites all professionals and parents of children with sensory processing disorders to attend these informative and engaging workshops. Participants may register for any or all days.

Diana Henry, MS, OTR/L president of Henry Occupational Therapy Services, Inc., studied with Lorna Jean King beginning in 1975, and then together founded what is now called the Children’s Center in Arizona. Diana opened her clinic specializing in sensory integration (SI) in 1984 and developed programs for various Arizona schools. In 2000, Diana was nominated to be on the Advisory Board of the Non Verbal Learning Disability Association (NLDA). Diana currently sits on the Professional Advisory Board of Developmental Delay Resources. As the Communication Liaison for the American Occupational Therapy Association SI Special Interest Section (2005-2008), Diana provides a bridge between communities and AOTA. Diana is SCSIT and SIPT certified. She received her B.S. in OT from Tufts University, and her M.S. in sensory integration from Rush University. Diana has taught at Arizona State University, nationally to school districts, associations/clinics and internationally in Canada, England, France, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Brazil, Scotland and Ireland.
Certificates of Attendance will be issued to all participants at the completion of each day of the conference. Participants are required to attend the entire program and complete a seminar evaluation. Amended certificates with the correct time attended will be issued if you are unable to attend the entire program.
Occupational Therapists: OPL is approved by the AOTA to provide continuing education. Day 1 and Day 2 each offer .6 AOTA CEUs and Day 3 offers .5 AOTA CEUs. AOTA CE Provider approval does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products, or clinical procedures by AOTA.
