The Michigan Alliance of School Physical and Occupational Therapists (MASPOT) is hosting sensory processing specialist Diana Henry at their 2008 MASPOT Conference. On October 16th, Ms. Henry will present “Tools for Tots,” on October 17th “Tools for Teens” and on October 18th “Sensory Processing Measure.” MASPOT invites all professionals and parents of children with sensory processing disorders to attend these informative and engaging workshops. William Beaumont Hospital is hosting this two day workshop on Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy (VRT). Introduction to VRT on November 1 provides training on the peripheral and central vestibular system, understanding the 3 most common vestibular disorders and performing basic evaluations. Intermediate VRT on November 2 will include specific interventions, "dizziness" vs balance deficits, specific balance function tests, and case studies. Participants can choose to attend one or both days.
